Live Nation Launches Music-Centered Destination Experience Company
Live Nation has announced a spin-off company focused on boosting the concert-going experience. The newly formed Vibee will turn events and festivals into fully immersive, destination vacation style attractions “on land and sea.”
Why it matters: Live Nation is already the biggest name in concert promotion, and is now looking to add a luxury-travel component to the business. Aimed at being “cross-generational and genre diverse,” the firm will curate multi-day events and activations on land and sea, plus bespoke festival and residency packages across the globe. Partnering with production companies like C3 and more, Vibee will try to “amplify fan-to-artist connections” in three ways:
Curated Experiences – multi-day events in highly sought getaway locations (like festivals with today’s top artists in the Bahamas, Mexico and more)
Festival Integrations – taking existing festivals and adding elevated ticket packages, or turning them into cruises like EDSea (based on the Electric Daisy Carnival)
Las Vegas Residencies – enhancing fan favorite residencies with concierge services, VIP access and more
Where they'll start: Soon to be announced events include a “boutique Fall trip to the Bahamas with a legendary artist, a four-day Cabo adventure with one of the world’s top DJs, and a bespoke Country music weekend in Nashville.” Currently announced events include:
May 19-22: Hotel EDC
June 16-18: Beyond Wonderland at The Gorge
June 24-25: Day Trip Festival
June 23-26: BEACH IT!
August 3-6: Lollapalooza 2023
August 11-13: TidalWave Music Festival
September 21-25: Format Festival
Oct 6-8: ACL Festival
Oct 13-15: ACL Festival
November 4-8: EDSea
What They're Saying: “Vibee was founded to build indelible memories between fans and their favorite artists in a new way,” said Harvey Cohen, President of Vibee. “We are poised to deliver a range of once-in-a-lifetime destination experiences for every type of fan in vibrant locations all over the world.“
